بازی Dead Rising 4 یک بازی اکشن ماجراجویی جهان باز و چهارمین عنوان از سری بازی های برخاست مردگان می باشد که بازگشت Frank West را به این سری به تصویر میکشد . این عنوان توسط Capcom Vancouver و Capcom و Microsoft Studios ان را منتشر کردند . این عنوان در ابتدا در تاریخ December 6, 2016 برای Xbox one ,Windows 10 منتشر شد و نسخه استیم ان همینک منتشر گردید . داستان این عنوان در سال 2022 بوده یعنی یک سال پس از وقایع Dead Rising 3 در Los Perdidos ، کاراکتر بازی Frank West که قبلا یک عکاس خبرنگار بوده همینک به عنوان پروفسور دانشگاه ایفای نقش میکند ، پس از درخواست یکی از دانشجویان وی Vicky “Vick” Chu برای کمک به وی جهت بررسی یک تاسیسات نظامی در اطراف Willamette – واقع در Colorado (اولین محل شیوع زامبی ها) انها به انجا رفته و زود متوجه میشوند که ان منطقه جهت تحقیقات روی زامبی ها استفاده میشود اما بزودی لو رفته ومجبور به فرار میشوند و در این میان Frank West نیز به اشتباه به عنوان یک جنایتکار توسط دولت شناخته میشود.
